Thousands of fans crowded TGV KLCC during the Gala Premiere of Initial D held by AOE Worldwide Sdn Bhd on 22 June 2005 (Wed) from 7:30pm onwards waiting with excitement for the appearance of the Initial D heart-throbs, Jay Chou, Edison Chen, Kenny Bee, Anthony Wong and Shawn Yue. Nine halls were reserved for approximately two thousand guests who were invited to experience the ultimate in drifting in the movie “Initial D”.

The Stars made an appearance at TGV’s foyer before proceeding to greet fans & members of the media in Hall 1. They had to make an emergency exit via the fire escape to avoid the thousands of fans waiting in TGV’s foyer and around Suria KLCC to catch a glimps of their favourite stars.

“Initial D” opened at the number 1 spot in Malaysia with 230k admission for the first week.
