PETALING JAYA, August 27, 2005 – TGV Cinemas organised a special treat for more than 200 kids today with a free screening of “Herbie Fully Loaded” at TGV 1 Utama.

Invited were patients from the paediatric wards of Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM) and Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) as well as orphans from Anbu Karangal, Rumah Keluarga Kami, Rumah St. Vincent De Paul and House of Joy.

Mr. Chung Shyh Kwong, General Manager, TGV Cinemas, said, “It’s truly a joy to see the kids enjoying themselves. Some of them don’t even get a chance to leave their wards, so giving them this experience is very special and we shall continue to play a part in positively contributing to our community.“

“We hope we made the experience memorable by bringing everyone together in the spirit of friendship and cheer, topping it off with some gifts, popcorn, soft drinks, and entertainment,” Chung added. After the movie, the young guests were treated to lunch whilst a clown entertained them with “magic” and hilarious antics.

The day was capped off in true Tinseltown-style as the children got a rare opportunity to catch “Herbie” itself, complete with its signature racing stripes and number 53, at the main entrance of 1 Utama Shopping complex; everyone got a chance to have pictures taken with the famous racing car.

“Herbie Fully Loaded” stars Lindsay Lohan who plays Maggie Peyton, the new owner of Number 53 (Herbie) - the free-wheelin' Volkswagen bug with a mind of its own. Herbie's got some new tricks under its hood as it takes audiences for an action-packed spin in this high-speed comedy adventure.
