SEREMBAN, Negeri Sembilan, March 22, 2006 – More than 60 children were treated to an afternoon of fun and laughter at TGV Cinemas’ brand new outlet in Jusco Seremban 2 Shopping Centre recently.
As part of TGV Cinemas’ ongoing corporate social responsibility initiative, the half-day event saw the children from two orphanages, namely Rhema Home and Angela Home, being invited to catch Pink Panther, the latest comedy movie to hit Malaysian shores.
The children along with their caregivers were also provided with delicious popcorn sets and attractive movie merchandise to complete their movie-going experience. After the movie, the children were also treated to lunch and entertainment by the world-famous A&W Bear.
The new TGV Seremban 2, which opened last year, has five projection screens with a capacity of 1100 seats. The cinemas are equipped with stadium seating, plush carpets and digital sound, which are a first for moviegoers in Negeri Sembilan.
Mr. Chung Shyh Kwong, General Manager, TGV Cinemas, said, “It was indeed heartwarming for us at TGV Cinemas to see children enjoying themselves.”
“It is our hope that by giving these children the opportunity to enjoy a wholesome movie-going experience with friends and the people who care for them, we have played a part in lighting up the lives of these needy kids."
“After all, being in the entertainment industry for more than a decade in this country, TGV Cinemas has always been committed to finding ways and means to contribute positively to the community in which we operate,” he concluded.
