Robots Charity Screening At TGV Suria KLCC
KUALA LUMPUR, March 19, 2005 – Laughter coursed through the halls of TGV Cinemas KLCC recently as excited children gathered for a free screening of 20th Century Fox’s Robots.

In one of its many efforts to bring cheer and entertainment to young Malaysians, TGV Cinemas organised this special treat for the paediatric and cancer wards of UMMC, HKL and HUKM.

Mr. Chung Shyh Kwong, General Manager, TGV Cinemas, said, “We are very happy to be able to offer our venue for the children to watch this much awaited blockbuster.

“With the children having popcorn and their favourite soft drink, surrounded by friends, and more importantly, watching a wonderfully entertaining movie, we hope that we have given them an experience to remember.”

TGV Cinemas also treated their young guests to lunch after the movie. A clown was present to provide additional entertainment, who also helped distribute goodie bags containing movie merchandise to the children.

“Having being an integral part of the Malaysian entertainment scene for more than a decade, TGV Cinemas will continue to play our part in positively contributing to our community,” Chung concluded.

Robots is an animated story of young Rodney Copperbottom, who, armed with his unique talent for inventing, embarks on a journey to Robot City to meet his idol, the majestic inventor, Bigweld. Robots features the voices of an award winning cast including Ewan McGregor, Halle Berry and Mel Brooks.

TGV Cinemas is the owner and operator of Malaysia’s premier multiplexes at 1 Utama, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya; Bukit Raja, Bandar Baru Klang; Sunway Pyramid, Petaling Jaya; Kinta City Shopping Centre, Ipoh; The Mines Shopping Fair, Seri Kembangan and Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur.
