TGV MOVIECLUB TERMS & CONDITIONS
DefinitionsTo simplify this Agreement for you, the following definitions will apply:
"TGV MovieClub" means a loyalty and rewards programme which is operated by TGV Cinemas Sdn. Bhd.
"TGV Cinemas" means TGV Cinemas Sdn Bhd. TGV Cinemas may also be referred to as "we," "us," "our," "ours".
"Member" means an individual who has successfully registered under the TGV MovieClub membership.
"Account" means the Member’s MovieMoney record.
"Card" refers to the TGV MovieClub membership card, or any other designated card.
"Rewards" refers to the benefits offered to Members upon application sign up of TGV MovieClub.
"Personal data" is the data or information that can be used to identify an individual.
"TGV Cinemas Website" or "the Website" refers to MovieClub.tgv.com.my.
"MovieMoney" means the points earned by a Member by making purchases at the TGV cinemas locations or online.
1. MEMBERSHIP AND GENERAL TERMS/CONDITIONSa. Membership is open to Malaysians who are 12 years of age or older. To participate in the TGV MovieClub, individuals must have a valid NRIC or Identification Card, e.g Passport, a valid mobile number and a valid email address.
b. TGV MovieClub membership application may be done at TGV Cinemas website or walk-in registration at any TGV Cinemas locations and a nominal membership fee will be charged. Members who have completed the online registration are required to collect the Card from any TGV Cinemas locations within 90 days from the online registration date. In the event that the Card is not collected within such period, the Card will cease its validity. Members will be required to sign up again and any disputes will not be entertained.
c. Members must complete the activation of their membership to redeem Reward by visiting the Website and completing the Member’s details accurately within 90 days from the date of purchase. At the time of purchase at the TGV Cinemas locations, the Members’ Account is activated to earn Reward only, but not to redeem the Reward. The Reward can only be redeemed upon online activation. Upon completion of the Member’s details, an email will be sent to the Member’s designated email address, inclusive of a link to activate the membership to redeem Reward. For online sign up, Members are not required to perform the activation, but still need to verify email.
d. Each individual is allowed one (1) time sign up only.
e. Members are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of their password and username, for all activities that occur using their password and for notifying TGV Cinemas of any unauthorised use of their password. TGV Cinemas is not responsible in any way for any loss arising from unauthorised use of a Member’s password.
f. TGV Cinemas does not guarantee or warrant that any or all of the Rewards of the TGV MovieClub will be available at all times. TGV Cinemas reserves the right to change, modify, limit or cancel any of the Rewards at any time. This includes increasing or decreasing any requirements for a Reward, changing the value of Rewards or limiting the availability of Rewards.
g. MovieClub Cards and Rewards (i) are non-transferable, except to a new card for the same Member in the case of a lost or stolen card, (ii) may not be purchased, and (iii) are not redeemable for cash under any circumstances unless required by law. Accumulated Rewards do not constitute property of the Member, nor are accumulated Rewards transferable by the Member upon death, as part of a domestic relations matter or otherwise.
h. MovieClub Cards remain the property of TGV Cinemas.
2. BENEFITS.a. Upon successful sign up either at any TGV Cinemas locations, online or renewal of annual membership, Members are given 2 free movie tickets and 1 regular set consisting of 1 regular popcorn and 1 regular soft drink which must be redeemed within 180 days of it being activated and cannot be exchanged or replaced. Members are not entitled to any preferential right over other cinema patrons. It is not transferable and cannot be re-sold.
b. For every purchase made at a participating TGV Cinemas location and online, Members will earn MovieMoney which will be reflected in the Account. Please refer to the examples below :

c. MovieMoney can only be redeemed in multiples of 1. MovieMoney will not be earned from the following: (1) membership fees, (2) renewal fees (3) online processing fees and (4) other promotions e.g Groupon, voucher sales etc.
d. Redemption of MovieMoney for free movie tickets, popcorn, snacks and drinks can be done at all POS, at all TGV Cinemas locations. TGV MovieClub Card must be presented when making the purchases for the purchases value to be credited to Account. To earn Rewards, the Account must be valid at the time of purchase. Members will NOT be credited retrospectively for purchases made without a valid Account presented at the time of purchase.
e. MovieMoney can be redeemed immediately when credited into the Account.
f. On Member’s Birthday month, Members are given 2 free movie tickets and 1 regular set consisting of 1 regular popcorn and 1 regular soft drink which must be redeemed within the same month and cannot be exchanged or replaced. TGV Cinemas is not responsible for the use or redemption of Rewards from an Account that has been lost, stolen or otherwise used without Member’s permission.
We expect Members to submit and maintain accurate and current user data in connection with their Memberships. Such information includes name, address, e-mail address and mobile number. Members can change their Account information by informing Customer Service at email@example.com.
4. TERM AND RENEWAL.The Membership term is one (1) year from the date of purchase. Renewals within a current term extend the existing expiration date by one year from end of the prior term. Members will have 30-day grace period for renewal and the renewal shall be subjected to a nominal fee. When an expired Membership is renewed, the new term begins on the date of renewal and expires one year from the renewal date ("Renewal Date"),
5. REPLACEMENT AND LOST/DAMAGED CARDMembers are required to fill in a Request Form for the purpose of obtaining a replacement card. A replacement card fee of RM 5.00 will be charged for each time. If the Card is lost and the MovieClub member forgot the card number, Member is required to provide:
- Contact Number
- Identity Card Number (compulsory to produce valid Identity Card to validate identity)
- Valid Email Address
6. DISCLAIMERS; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.USE OF THE TGV MOVIECLUB AND ANY OF ITS ASSOCIATED REWARD IS AT MEMBER’S SOLE RISK. THE MEMBERSHIP REWARD ARE PROVIDED ONLY ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.
TGV CINEMAS AND ALL OF ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS AND AGENTS (COLLECTIVELY "MEMBERSHIP PROVIDERS") EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
MEMBERSHIP PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES (EVEN IF MEMBERSHIP PROVIDER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES) RESULTING FROM (i) THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE TGV MOVIECLUB OR ANY REWARD THEREOF; (ii) THE COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS AND SERVICES RESULTING FROM ANY GOODS, DATA, INFORMATION OR SERVICES PURCHASED OR OBTAINED OR MESSAGES RECEIVED OR TRANSACTIONS ENTERED VIA THE USE OF THE TGV MOVIECLUB; (iii) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF MEMBER’S TGV MOVIECLUB DATA; OR (iv) ANY OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE TGV MOVIECLUB INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) ANY CANCELLATION, SUSPENSION, POSTPONEMENT OR TERMINATION OF THE MEMBERSHIP BY TGV CINEMAS.
TGV Cinemas is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorised access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of our telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet.
7. TerminationWe may terminate a Membership of TGV MovieClub without notice and for any reason, including if the Member fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions:
- Supplies any misleading information or makes any misrepresentations to TGV Cinemas or to any of its partner in connection with the TGV MovieClub; or
- Abuses any privilege accorded to the Member under the TGV MovieClub or using the TGV MovieClub for profit; or
- Engages in any fraudulent activities under the TGV MovieClub; or
- Posting Member’s directed promotional offers or coupons or your Membership number on websites or reproducing for use by third parties or public websites; or
- Is deceased or is declared a bankrupt; or
- Displays inappropriate behaviour against any member of TGV Cinemas staff; or
- Our belief that continued use of such Membership would violate any provisions of this Agreement or applicable law, or would otherwise be harmful to our interests.
Members who cancel voluntarily may not reactivate the Account but are eligible to open a new Account without the benefit of the previously accumulated balance.
