      To join TGV Cinemas MovieClub, you must;

    7. Will my membership account expire?

      The membership account is valid for 12 months from date of sign up.

    8. Is my membership account and card transferable?

      Both are non-transferable.

    9. Am I able to hold more than one membership account?

      You are not allowed multiple membership accounts as each membership account is uniquely tagged to your registered details.

    1. How do I register online?
      Step 1:

      Visit www.tgv.com.my, click "Sign Up Now" at the MovieClub banner.

      Step 2:

      Complete the required particulars in the registration form.

      Step 3:

      Pay RM30 membership fee, validate your registration by clicking on the verification link sent to your registered email address.

      Step 4:

      Collect card at your preferred TGV Cinemas location and start enjoying your Freebies!

    C. REWARDS AND BENEFITS

    1. How can I redeem my Welcome Freebies (2 x FREE movie tickets*1 and a regular popcorn set) and Birthday Freebies (2 x FREE movie tickets*2 and a regular popcorn set)?

      If you register online, you do not need to perform the activation of your membership, but you will receive an email with a verification link to validate your registration and email address. Thereafter, you can start to redeem your Freebies from TGV Cinemas.

      *1 Welcome Freebies: Valid for all movies including blockbuster movies, for preferred seating at standard halls only (tickets only).

    2. Where can I redeem my Freebies?

      Free movie tickets can be redeemed at any TGV Cinemas. Free popcorn sets and soft drinks can only be redeemed from Candy Bar counters at TGV Cinemas.

    3. How often will I receive TGV Cinemas MovieClub e-Newsletters?

      TGV Cinemas MovieClub e-Newsletters will be sent to you at least once every fortnight. You may also be notified of exclusive invitations to movie premieres and special promotions via these e-Newsletters.

    D. EARNING AND REDEMPTION OF MOVIEMONEY

    1. What is MovieMoney?

      MovieMoney is a form of value rewarded back to you upon every purchase at any TGV Cinemas. You will earn MovieMoney equivalent to 10% of your total purchase.

      For example

      RM 10.00 spent = MovieMoney 1.00

      RM20.50 spent = MovieMoney 2.05

    2. How do I earn MovieMoney?

      You can earn MovieMoney with every purchase at TGV Cinemas, unless otherwise specified. Please remember to present your membership card when making purchases from TGV Cinemas. For purchases online, you have to log in with your MovieClub credentials to earn MovieMoney.

      You will not earn MovieMoney from membership fees, renewal fees, online processing fees, and card replacement fees as well as other TGV or third party promotions such as Groupon vouchers.

    3. When can I start earning MovieMoney?

      MovieMoney can be earned immediately upon sign up to MovieClub at www.tgv.com.my or walk-in at TGV Cinemas.

    4. Will my MovieMoney expire?

      Yes, accumulated MovieMoney are only valid within the active membership period and will expire after 12 months. In order to continue enjoying existing benefits and accumulated MovieMoney, you are advised to renew your membership annually.

      Upon membership renewal, you can still redeem your MovieMoney before it expires. Any balance MovieMoney earned each month from past year membership, if unused, will expire automatically in stages after 12 months.

    5. How do I redeem or use my MovieMoney?

      MovieMoney can be used as a form of payment at all TGV Cinemas on movie tickets, Candy Bar and food and beverages at TGV F&B outlets. MovieMoney can only be used if it sufficiently covers the full amount payable. Otherwise, you will not be able to do so.

      Redemption of MovieMoney for:

      Tickets

        • With effect from 24 August 2015, redemption of tickets using MovieMoney will be changed to a fixed redemption amount, depending on seat type and hall concept. For further info, please proceed to the nearest TGV Cinemas near you.

      Candy Bar/Concession and food and beverages

      • You can continue to use your MovieMoney for redemption as long as it covers the full amount payable.

    6. How do I check my MovieMoney details?

      You can check your MovieMoney details online at www.tgv.com.my by logging in as Member or enquiring at any TGV Cinemas' dedicated MovieClub lane. Additionally, MovieMoney balance will also be printed on ticket stubs and receipts from Candy Bar purchases.

    7. What should I do if my MovieMoney is not credited to my account after I performed transactions at TGV Cinemas or through online purchase?

      You may send an email to our Customer Service at feedback@tgv.com.my to file a report. Our Customer Service team will investigate and shall contact you further to resolve the disputes.

    8. Is MovieMoney transferable?

      No. MovieMoney is non-transferable.

    E. ACCOUNT RENEWAL

    1. When should I renew my membership account?

      Membership account should be renewed ANNUALLY.You can start to renew your membership account 30 days before your account expiry date.

    2. Is there any renewal fee?

      Yes. Renewal fee is only RM 10 per year if you renew 30 days before expiry or no later than 30 days from expiry date. Upon renewal, you will continue to enjoy your Birthday Freebies (2 x FREE movie tickets1 and 1 regular popcorn with 1 regular soft drink).

    3. How can I renew my membership account?

      Renewal can be performed at TGV Cinemas’ dedicated MovieClub lane.

    4. What happens if I do not renew my account?

      If the membership account is not renewed, all rewards and balance MovieMoney will be suspended from the Member's account.

    5. Do I need a new card when I renew my membership account?

      No. You do not need to replace your card when you renew your account.

    F. MEMBER PERSONAL DATA AND PROTECTION

    1. Can I make changes to my personal details?

      You can make changes to your personal details when logged on to your online membership account. If there is a need to make changes to your mandatory details, you may do so by contacting our Customer Service team at feedback@tgv.com.my.

      The mandatory details which can only be changed via Customer Service are:

      • Name (as per NRIC/Passport)
      • NRIC/Passport number
      • Email address
      • Mobile number
      • Date of birth

      You are not able to make changes on mandatory details at any TGV Cinemas as a step of security to protect your personal details.

    2. Can I make changes to my password and username of my online membership account?

      You are advised to contact our Customer Service via email at feedback@tgv.com.my to make changes to username. For password change, you may perform it through your online membership account in My Profile area.

    3. What if I have forgotten my password?

      You may click the "Forgot Password" tab below the log in tab to receive a reset password link. The link will be sent to your registered email address.

    4. How are my personal details managed?

      Protection and use of data are in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010. Please refer to the terms and conditions and privacy policy at www.tgv.com.my for further details.

    G. LOST/STOLEN AND REPLACEMENT OF MEMBER CARD

    1. My card is lost/stolen/ damaged. What should I do?

      You are advised to file a report via email to our Customer Service at feedback@tgv.com.my. Customer Service may suspend your account to prevent unauthorised use of the card while investigation is carried out. Our Customer Service team will contact you for further action.

    2. Should I replace my lost /stolen/ damaged card?

      Yes, because your card is needed for any transaction at TGV Cinemas for earning of MovieMoney and redemption of Freebies.

    3. I would like to replace my card. How do I go about it?
      Step 1:

      Members may walk-in to any TGV Cinemas' dedicated MovieClub lane and provide the following details for verification:

      • Name (as per NRIC/Passport), and/or,
      • Valid NRIC/Passport number, and/or,
      • Valid email address, and/or
      • Valid mobile number
      Step 2:

      Pay card replacement fee and collect new card on the spot.

    4. How much is the card replacement fee?

      Members will need to pay RM 5 for each card replaced.

    H. REFUND

    1. How do I go about getting a refund?

      In the event requiring a refund, this can be performed at the TGV Cinemas box office counters. Please remember to keep your ticket stubs and Booking IDs to assist in the refund procedure.

    2. Who should I contact for a refund?

      Please approach our staff at the cinema ticket counters or send a request via email to Customer Service at feedback@tgv.com.my. Please include your membership details for verification and a copy of your ticket stub or Booking ID for refund procedure. Customer Service will contact you for further enquiries and refund status.

    3. How will the money / MovieMoney be refunded to me?

      For transactions made at TGV locations, refunds are performed on the spot. For online payments please submit refund requests via email to Customer Service at feedback@tgv.com.my. Our Customer Service will contact you for further enquiries and refund methods.Please allow at least 48 hours of MovieMoney refund procedure after requests are made.

    4. If my card was lost / stolen and my MovieMoney was utilised, can it be refunded?

      No, MovieMoney will not be refunded. Therefore, it is important to file a report to the Customer Service to suspend your lost card in order to minimise or cease unauthorised use of card.

TGV MOVIECLUB TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions (this "Agreement") govern the use of the TGV MovieClub ("TGV MovieClub") Card. Any individual who wishes to sign up for TGV MovieClub ("you," "your," "yours," "Member") must agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as varied from time to time.

DEFINITIONS

To simplify this Agreement for you, the following definitions will apply:

"TGV MovieClub" means a loyalty and rewards programme which is operated by TGV Cinemas Sdn. Bhd.

"TGV Cinemas" means TGV Cinemas Sdn Bhd. TGV Cinemas may also be referred to as "we," "us," "our," "ours".

"Member" means an individual who has successfully registered under the TGV MovieClub membership.

"Account" means the record of Membership details that consists of MovieMoney record, transaction history, redemption history and personal details.

"Card" refers to the TGV MovieClub membership card, or any other designated card.

"Rewards" refers to the benefits offered to Members upon registration of TGV MovieClub.

"Personal data" is the data or information that can be used to identify an individual.

"TGV Cinemas Website" or "the Website" refers to www.tgv.com.my.

"MovieMoney" means the points earned by a Member by making purchases at the TGV cinemas locations or online.

1. MEMBERSHIP AND GENERAL TERMS/CONDITIONS

  1. By applying for TGV MovieClub membership or by retaining, using or authorizing the use of the Card, you warrant and represent that: you are at least eighteen (18) years of age; all of the personal information provided by you to us is true, accurate, correct and complete; you acknowledge and agree that in order for us to provide the services and Rewards under the TGV MovieClub, to manage your Card and the Account, and to enable you to participate in the TGV MovieClub, the sharing, retrieval, updating and processing of your personal data as well as the creation of member profiles and user accounts and updating of personal details will occur between TGV Cinemas, our affiliates, partners and any third party contractor in connection with the provision of the Card and TGV MovieClub services and you have consented to the same; and that you have read, understood and accepted all the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement and in connection with the use of the Card, and they are binding on you.
  2. Membership is open to permanent residents in Malaysia who are 18 years of age or older. To participate in the TGV MovieClub, individuals must have a valid NRIC or Identification Card, or Passport, a valid mobile number and a valid email address.
  3. Membership registration may be done at TGV Cinemas Website, via mobile application or walk-in registration at any TGV Cinemas locations. A nominal and non-refundable membership fee will be charged. Members who have completed the online registration are required to collect the Card from any TGV Cinemas locations within 90 days from the online registration date. In the event that the Card is not collected within such period, the Card will cease its validity. Members will be required to register again and any disputes will not be entertained.
  4. Members must complete the activation of their membership to redeem Rewards by visiting the Website or mobile application and completing the Member’s details accurately within 90 days from the date of registration. At the time of registration at TGV Cinemas’s locations, Members are able to earn and accumulate MovieMoney with every purchase at TGV Cinemas, unless otherwise specified.
  5. The Rewards can only be redeemed upon account activation online. Upon completion of the Member’s details, an email will be sent to the Member’s designated email address provided during registration, inclusive of a link to validate registration and email address provided. Once the validation of email has been completed, the membership is activated to redeem Rewards. For online registration, Members are not required to perform the activation of their membership, however they will still need to validate the email address and collect the Card(s) at any TGV Cinemas location to redeem Rewards.
  6. Each individual is allowed one (1) time sign up only.
  7. Members are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of their password and username, for all activities that occur using their password and for notifying TGV Cinemas of any unauthorized use of their password. TGV Cinemas is not responsible in any way for any loss arising from unauthorized use of a Member’s password.
  8. TGV Cinemas does not guarantee or warrant that any or all of the Rewards of the TGV MovieClub will be available at all times. TGV Cinemas reserves the right to change, modify, limit or cancel any of the Rewards at any time. This includes increasing or decreasing any requirements for a Reward, changing the value of Rewards or limiting the availability of Rewards.
  9. MovieClub Cards and Rewards:
    • Are non-transferable, except to a new card for the same Member in the case of a lost or stolen card
    • May not be purchased, and
    • Are not redeemable for cash under any circumstances unless required by law. Accumulated Rewards do not constitute property of the Member, nor are accumulated Rewards transferable by the Member upon death, as part of a domestic relations matter or otherwise.
  10. MovieClub Cards remain the property of TGV Cinemas.
  11. The membership fee and any other payments due to TGV Cinemas in relation to TGV MovieClub shall be inclusive of the goods and services tax (“GST”) pursuant to the Goods and Services Tax Act 2014.

2. BENEFITS OR REWARDS

  1. Upon successful registration either at any TGV Cinemas locations, on mobile application or via Website, Members are given 2 free movie tickets (The movie tickets will be valid for all movies including blockbuster movies and for preferred with one seating at standard halls only) and 1 regular popcorn with 1 regular soft drink which must be redeemed within 180 days from the sign up date. However redemption can only be performed after the membership has been activated. Free movie tickets must be redeemed together with the popcorn and soft drink. The movie tickets are not transferable, cannot be re-sold and cannot be exchanged for cash. Members are not entitled to any preferential right over other cinema patrons.
  2. TGV MovieClub Card must be presented when making the purchases for MovieMoney to be credited to Account. For online purchase, Members need to log in to their Account (Member’s Area) on the Website during purchase of movie tickets in order to be entitled for earnings of MovieMoney. Members will earn MovieMoney for every purchase made either at any TGV Cinemas locations, online via Website or on mobile application, unless otherwise stated. To earn MovieMoney, the membership has to be valid at the time of purchase of movie tickets, popcorn, snacks and drinks. Expired membership will not entitle the Members to earn MovieMoney.

    MovieMoney will not be earned from the following:
    1. Membership fees
    2. Renewal fees
    3. Online processing fees
    4. Replacement fees and;
    5. Other TGV or third party promotions e.g Groupon, voucher sales etc.
  3. On Member's Birthday month, Members are given Birthday freebies consisting of 2 free movie tickets (The movie tickets will be valid for all movies including blockbuster movies and for preferred seating at standard halls only) and 1 regular popcorn with 1 regular soft drink (“Birthday Freebies”) which must be redeemed within the same month and cannot be exchangeable nor replaceable.
    1. For Members who register on their respective birthday month, they will only be entitled to the Birthday Freebies for each membership term of 12 months.
    2. Members will only be eligible for next Birthday Freebies upon renewal of the membership (based on the subsequent membership term of 12 months
  4. MovieMoney can be used to redeem free movie tickets, popcorn, snacks and drinks at all POS, at all TGV Cinemas locations.
  5. Conditions for Redemption of MovieMoney:
    1. Redemption of movie tickets using MovieMoney will be based on fixed redemption amount, depending on seat type and hall concept.
    2. Redemption of concession and food and beverage using MovieMoney will be allowed for any amount so long as the MovieMoney is sufficient to cover the full amount payable. MovieMoney cannot be used if the balance of MovieMoney is less than the purchase amount payable.

f. TGV Cinemas is not responsible for the use or redemption of Rewards from an Account that has been lost, stolen or otherwise used without Member's permission.

3. PERSONAL DATA

Members further:

  • Agree to co-operate and comply with all reasonable requests of TGV Cinemas in connection with TGV MovieClub;
  • Agree to disclose personal data to TGV Cinemas for the purpose of organizing, promoting, facilitating, conducting or handling any matters relating to TGV MovieClub;
  • Further agree that in order to facilitate the provision of services and Rewards related to TGV MovieClub, the sharing, transfer, retrieval, updating and processing of their personal data as well as creation of their member profile and user accounts will occur between TGV, its affiliates, partners and any third party contractor (within and beyond Malaysia) in connection with the provision of services for TGV MovieClub; and
  • Consent to receiving promotional, marketing and other publicity information from TGV Cinemas and/or its partners from time to time.The personal data provided by the Member is subject to and will be handled according to the TGV Cinemas Privacy Policy, available at www.tgv.com.my.

We expect Members to submit and maintain accurate and current user data in connection with their Memberships. Such information includes name, address, e-mail address and mobile number. Members can update their Account information by informing Customer Service at feedback@tgv.com.my.

4. TERM AND RENEWAL

The Membership term is one (1) year from the date of purchase. Renewals within a current term extend the existing expiration date by one year from end of the prior term. Members will have 30-day grace period for renewal and the renewal shall be subjected to a nominal fee. When an expired Membership is renewed, the new term begins on the date of renewal and expires one year from the renewal date ("Renewal Date").

Upon successful renewal of annual membership, Members will continue to receive Birthday Freebies which must be redeemed within the same month and are not exchangeable or replaced. Free movie tickets must be redeemed together, are not transferable, cannot be re-sold and cannot be exchanged for cash.

5. REPLACEMENT, LOST/DAMAGED CARD AND REFUND FOR CANCELLATION OF MOVIES

Members are required to fill in a Customer Feedback Form at any TGV Cinemas locations for the purpose of obtaining a replacement card. A replacement card fee of RM 5.00 will be charged for each time. If the Card is lost and the MovieClub member forgot the card number, Member is required to provide:

  • Name as per NRIC or Passport
  • Contact Number
  • Identity Card Number or Passport (compulsory to produce valid Identity Card or Passport to validate identity)
  • Valid Email Address

In the event of cancellation of movies screening which requires a refund to the Member, any MovieMoney earned during the relevant transaction will be reversed accordingly.

6. DISCLAIMERS; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

USE OF THE TGV MOVIECLUB AND ANY OF ITS ASSOCIATED REWARD IS AT MEMBER'S SOLE RISK. THE MEMBERSHIP REWARD ARE PROVIDED ONLY ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.

TGV CINEMAS AND ALL OF ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS AND AGENTS (COLLECTIVELY "MEMBERSHIP PROVIDERS") EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

MEMBERSHIP PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES (EVEN IF MEMBERSHIP PROVIDER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES) RESULTING FROM (i) THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE TGV MOVIECLUB OR ANY REWARD THEREOF; (ii) THE COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS AND SERVICES RESULTING FROM ANY GOODS, DATA, INFORMATION OR SERVICES PURCHASED OR OBTAINED OR MESSAGES RECEIVED OR TRANSACTIONS ENTERED VIA THE USE OF THE TGV MOVIECLUB; (iii) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF MEMBER'S TGV MOVIECLUB DATA; OR (iv) ANY OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE TGV MOVIECLUB INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) ANY CANCELLATION, SUSPENSION, POSTPONEMENT OR TERMINATION OF THE MEMBERSHIP BY TGV CINEMAS.

TGV Cinemas is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorised access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of our telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet.

We may suspend, block, revoke and/or terminate a Membership of TGV MovieClub without notice and for any reason notwithstanding that we may have waived our rights on some previous occasion upon the occurrences of any or more of the following events, including but not limited to:

  1. If you provide any misleading, false or incomplete information or makes any misrepresentations to TGV Cinemas or to any of its partner in connection with the TGV MovieClub; or
  2. If you abuse any privilege or Rewards accorded to the Member under the TGV MovieClub or using the TGV MovieClub for profit; or
  3. If you use your Card for any unlawful or fraudulent activities; or
  4. If you post Member's directed promotional offers or coupons or your Membership number on websites or reproduce for use by third parties or public websites; or
  5. If you are deceased or declared bankrupt; or
  6. If you display inappropriate behaviour against any member of TGV Cinemas staff; or
  7. If payment of any sum of money is due from you to us at any time under the Account; or
  8. If you commit or threaten to commit a default or breach of any agreements, covenants, terms or conditions under this Agreement; or
  9. If we have noticed irregular, suspicious or unauthorized activity on your Card; or
  10. If an event or events has or have occurred which should in our opinion prejudice your ability to perform your obligations under this Agreement or would otherwise be harmful to our interests.

In such circumstances, any accumulated MovieMoney and Rewards earned shall be forfeited and we reserve the right not to refund the membership fees or any amount or balances existing in the Account. Further thereto, we reserve the right to take any action against you as may be deemed necessary or required under the governing laws or by the relevant governing authorities. We may terminate or alter any or all of the Rewards available under TGV MovieClub at any time with or without notice. For any voluntary cancellation of membership by the Members, the Members will not be able to reactivate the Account but are eligible to open a new Account without the benefit of the previously accumulated balance.

8. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement, and the respective rights and obligations of the parties hereunder, shall be governed by the laws in force in Malaysia. You irrevocably submit to and accept the exclusive jurisdiction of any of the Courts of Malaysia.

9. ACKNOWLEDGMENT

This Agreement, including all documents referenced herein, represents the entire understanding between us and any user of the TGV MovieClub and supersedes any other agreements, statements or representations unless otherwise stated. Headings used in this Agreement are for reference only and shall not affect the meaning of any terms. Any use of any portion of the TGV MovieClub is deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

10. CHANGES TO THIS AGREEMENT

We may change the terms of this Agreement at any time without notice or liability by posting a revised Agreement on the Website. Any change shall take effect immediately upon posting, unless otherwise provided. You may view the current version of this Agreement at any time online.
