What is HERO-CON 2026?

HERO-CON 2026 is TGV Cinemas’ fan convention, a free five-day event that brings moviegoers, families, collectors and pop-culture fans together through games, merchandise, photo moments and partner booths.

This first edition is themed around Spider-Man, celebrating the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the opening of TGV’s new cinema at Pavilion Damansara Heights.

Think of it as a comic-con, Malaysian style: no ticket, no gatekeeping, everyone from die-hard collectors to Saturday families welcome.

The HERO-CON 2026 Event Details

• When: 29 July to 2 August 2026. Five days. 11 am to 8 pm daily.
• Where: Level 5, Pavilion Damansara Heights, KL (TGV Cinemas + Pavilion Arena)
• Entry: FREE. Just show up. Register at TGV Cinemas (Level 5) when you arrive.
• Theme: Spider-Man, for the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day (in cinemas 30 July)

Activities Waiting For You at HERO-CON 2026

Here’s a full list of the activities that are available at HERO-CON 2026

1. Human Claw Machine

You’ve played the conventional claw machine; now you are the claw. Channel your inner reflexes and strength and grab the prizes.

2. Bouldering Wall

Just like Spider-Man, you will get to climb walls at HERO-CON 2026. Make sure your hands and feet are up for the task, though!

3. Cargo-net crawl

How well can you handle webs? This is a task that will require you to polish your agility and force you to bring out your Spidey senses.

4. PlayStation Zone

Even Spider-Man needs a break. The perfect place for you to chill and relax and play some video games at the PlayStation Xone!

5. Photobooth and Photo Ops

Come dressed. Leave legendary.

6. Spidey-Themed Mini-Games

Quick. Silly. Very winnable.

7. Awards on the Main stage

Cosplay competition, Best-Dressed Award, merch announcements.

8. Hero Quest for Lucky Draw

Collect stamps at the booths, then claim your lucky-draw shot at TGV Cinemas.

9. Partner booths

Merch, collectibles, customisation, artists. Yes, you’ll queue for the good ones. It’s that kind of crowd. Bring a friend.

Some Ground Rules Before Attending HERO-CON 2026

Of course, we also expect attendees to be on their best behaviour. Here are some of the common ground rules and etiquette you should adhere to when you are at HERO-CON 2026.

Ask Before You Photograph a Cosplayer

Always. It’s a courtesy and a form of respect towards the cosplayer.

Make sure both parties are comfortable before snapping a photo together.

Keep Walkways Clear.

We’re expecting a huge crowd, so we understand movements might be limited. That said, we urge attendees to give way and keep walkways clear so that navigation is much easier.

It’s natural if you need help if this is your first time attending HERO-CON.

Don’t be shy! Just ask any TGV employees/receptionist and they’ll be more than glad to assist you with your matters.

Getting to HERO-CON 2026: How to Get to Pavilion Damansara Heights

The MRT station is situated at the mall. The station you need to drop off at is called Pusat Bandar Damansara (Kajang Line). From the station, walk across using the bridge, use the lift, and get to Level 5.
