Casting of Sonic the Hedgehog 4
Ben Schwartz is confirmed to return as the voice of Sonic, while Golden Globe nominee Kristen Bell has been cast as Amy Rose.
The return of James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Keanu Reeves, and Jim Carrey has not yet been officially confirmed.
Jim Carrey’s Status
Dr. Robotnik appeared to die at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, raising questions about Jim Carrey’s involvement in the fourth installment.
Carrey previously hinted at retirement but returned for the third film due to the strength of the script. He has since expressed openness to returning again if presented with an interesting premise.
The introduction of Metal Sonic, potentially linked to Robotnik’s work, could provide a narrative path for his comeback.
