Abah Saya, Uncle Mike

Abah Saya, Uncle Mike is a heartfelt Malaysian drama inspired by a true story. It tells the journey of Michael Tong Wai Siong, affectionately known as “Uncle Mike,” a compassionate Chinese man who raised three adopted Malay boys while fully respecting and nurturing their Islamic faith.

The film highlights themes of love, acceptance, and cultural unity, celebrating bonds that transcend race and religion. Uncle Mike’s selfless devotion as a father earned him national recognition and deep admiration from Malaysians of all backgrounds.

Directed by Ezrie Gazali in his feature-length debut, the film stars Andy Teh as Uncle Mike, alongside Idan Aedan, Merah Muhaimin, Umar Shakur, April Chan, Pauline Tan, Mandy Chong, and Chew Kin Wah.

Set to premiere on 28 August 2025 in Malaysia and Brunei, this moving drama runs approximately 120 minutes and promises to be a powerful story about family, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of unity.
