Synopsis
Pak Yeh clings to the traditional roots of Mak Yong, but faces pressure from Amiruddin, who believes the art must evolve with the times. Amid the turmoil, Datuk Nik urges that Mak Yong be used as a tool for the independence movement. Pak Yeh’s marriage to Asmah begins to crumble with Amiruddin’s arrival, as he supports Asmah’s rise as a primadonna on stage.
The tension peaks in Kota Bharu, where love, ideals, and the struggle for art collide. Through it all, Denu’s journey reflects the sweetness of success, laced with pain and the torment of a soul enduring its path
