Karuppu

Karuppu (transl. Black) is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by RJ Balaji, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan, and Karan Aravind Kumar. Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film features Suriya and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles, supported by Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy, and Yogi Babu.

The project was first announced in October 2024 under the working title Suriya 45, marking Suriya’s 45th film as a leading actor. Principal photography began the following month in Pollachi, with the official title revealed in June 2025. The film’s music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, with cinematography by G. K. Vishnu and editing by R. Kalaivanan.
