Ramayana: Rise Of A Legend

 

Young Rama, heir to the throne of Ayodhya, is taken under the wing of the sage Vishvamitra, who sees in him the power to confront evil itself. Proving his worth in blood and spirit, Rama slays the demoness Tataka, announcing himself as a warrior touched by destiny.

 

His path leads him to Mithila, where kings and princes have failed to lift the sacred bow of Shiva. Before a hushed court, Rama succeeds—and wins the hand of Sita, a union that feels written in the stars.

But paradise is fragile. Back in Ayodhya, a jealous queen's old promise becomes a weapon. Kaikeyi, driven by fear and ambition, forces the king's hand: Rama must be stripped of his birthright and cast into exile for fourteen years.

 

Rather than fight for the crown, Rama chooses duty over desire. With Sita at his side and his brother Lakshmana sworn to protect them, he walks willingly into the wilderness of Dandaka Forest, trading a palace for exile.

 

Peace, however, is not meant to last. In the shadows of the forest, a golden deer appears—too beautiful, too strange. It is a trap set by Ravana, the demon king of Lanka, and when Rama and Lakshmana give chase, Sita is left vulnerable. In a single, devastating moment, she is torn from their lives.

 

As the exile turns to desperate search, a war begins to take shape—one that will summon armies, gods, and monsters, and test the very limits of love, loyalty, and righteousness.
