On the Fourth of July, fireworks aren’t the only thing tearing through a quiet suburban neighbourhood. When an eccentric stranger named Tommy Taffy (Crispin Glover) arrives at the doorstep of a seemingly perfect family, he brings with him more than just a smile that never fades—he brings rules. At first, Tommy seems like an odd but harmless houseguest, slipping into the role of a “third parent” with playful lessons and strict household order.

 

But his charm quickly rots into menace. No police. No escape. Just obedience. His “life lessons” become punishments, and his twisted authority transforms the family home into a claustrophobic nightmare. Trapped under Tommy’s suffocating control, the family must confront his relentless game of dominance—where every broken rule comes with chilling consequences.
