Tron: Ares

Tron: Ares (Tron 3), releasing on 9 October 2025, follows the story of Ares, a highly advanced Program sent from the digital Grid into the human world on a dangerous mission. This marks the first direct encounter between humanity and artificial intelligence beings, raising profound questions about coexistence, control, and the future of both worlds.

Directed by Joachim Rønning, the film presents a darker, grittier vision of the Tron universe, supported by an industrial and atmospheric score from Nine Inch Nails.

The cast is led by Jared Leto as Ares, joined by Greta Lee as programmer Eve Kim, Evan Peters as Julian Dillinger, and the return of Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn. They are joined by an ensemble including Gillian Anderson, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Arturo Castro, and Sarah Desjardins.
