Synopsis
A ride share brings KAI TAN (Ross Butler), TERESA (Karena Lam), NATHAN (Osric Chau) and CURTIS CHO (Sung Kang) together on the way to a hospital. Kai meets LEAH CHEN (Lana Condor) there and the two have a magical perfect day together. They try long distance but Kai lives a world away in Malaysia. Teresa and Nathan have a stillbirth, and they are devastated. They grieve, seek healing and eventually try again to conceive. Curtis is raising his adopted high school niece RILEY CHO who is in love with BLAKE CHEN (Leah's younger brother). The teens inspire jaded Curtis to give dating another chance while they themselves navigate the realities of young love. Across town famous actress AMANDA YAN (Elodie Yung) discovers her new director is SCOTT ITO (Andrew Koji) her former fiancé that she hasn’t seen in a decade. They explore the "what ifs" of the one who got away and whether time really changes who they are and what they want. Our story culminates with everyone unknowingly intersecting at the hospital again for different reasons.
