Local horror-thriller Salmokji: Whispering Water continued its reign at the South Korean box office, earning USD2.4 million from 343,461 admissions and capturing a 39.29% revenue share.
Directed by Lee Sang-min and starring Kim Hye-yoon and Lee Jong-won, the film follows a road-view camera crew encountering supernatural terror at a remote reservoir.

Overall Weekend Box Office Performance in South Korea
The overall South Korean box office generated $6.2 million for the weekend, slightly lower than the previous week’s $6.6 million total.
The rest of the top ten included identity drama My Name, horror film Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, anime title Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, a re-release of Kiki’s Delivery Service, and animated comedy Goat.
